Train park with grandparents

Chris's parents have been visiting us for their spring break. Today we went to the train park. So much nicer going in the middle of the summer. Ryleigh was so excited to see the "choo-choos" and ride the "horsies".

The boys left to go to a Reds spring training game at the Peoria Sports Complex. The girls decided to do some more rides. Ryleigh was a little more excited for the rides the second time around.

We all had a fun time at the train park. But we couldn't stay too long, as it was lunch time and then nap time. You can't mess with a 2 year old's naps!!

House is done!

We had our new home orientation/ walk thru on Thursday. While we'd snuck in several times in the past week seeing all the finishing touches be put together, seeing the finished product was pretty cool! They still have some little things to finish, paint and drywall touch ups, they need to install our reverse osmosis unit at the sink. They did the landscaping Thursday morning and it was done before we got there. They were working on our acrylic pool decking. The pool fence will be installed this coming Thursday.

One week to go!!!

One week until the house is supposed to be done and we can have our walk through. Still seems like a lot of stuff to do, but it's cool to see all our design options come to life!!

The house still needs paint.

But we have airconditioners.

And they did the forms for the concrete decking around the pool and in the backyard.

Update on Ryleigh's Sickness

We went to the doctor on Friday afternoon. Her pink eye was getting better. But she now has an ear infection. And her barky croup breathing got better, but she had some wheezing in her lungs. They gave her a breathing treatment which alleviated the wheezing (which is good, b/c if it didn't it could have been early pneumonia). So she also has bronchiolitis requiring a week of breathing treatments - AGAIN! So she got steroids and albuterol for the bronchioltis, and an antibiotic for the ear infection, plus ear drops, plus eye drops to finish treatment of the pink eye, and motrin for the fever/pain... the kid was like a walking medicine cabinet!

She's finally starting to feel a little better. She still doesn't have her energy back. She still has the croup cough, especially at night. She's still clinging to her blanket, which she's never done before. So slowly we're seeing progress. Go back on Friday for a follow-up. We'll see what they say.

More sickness, and 3 more weeks

On Sunday, we ran some errands and Ryleigh was fine. She went down for her nap and we woke her up after an hour or so. We notices she had a slight cough, which is how her last 2 episodes of RSV have shown up. We went to my co-worker's Super Bowl party and noticed Ryleigh was just in a funk. Not her usual self. Even when she's in a new place, she warms up eventually, but not this time. We stopped by my parents house and she STILL didn't get out of her funk, which was a shocker since she LOVES Grampa's house!! We got home and gave her a breathing treatment just in case it is RSV again. She also had a fever and almost fell asleep sitting up doing the treatment - not at all like she's acted when sick before. Made her a doctor appointment for Monday afternoon. Come to find out, she didn't have RSV... she has Croup and Pink Eye!! UGH! She got a shot of steroids to help with the Croup. Tuesday, she stayed home with Gramma and Grampa. She woke up from her nap crying for Mommy... totally NOT Ryleigh. Wednesday Chris stayed home with her and she was tired and clingy too. Today she took a 4 hour nap and she woke up much better. She's had rapid breathing using her accessory muscles to breath. Every time she coughs she'd whine and complain that her tummy hurts... not sickly pain, but achy pain. Her muscles hurt from breathing. And every night she's been waking up crying multiple times a night wanting cuddles. Ryleigh is not a cuddler. She's got another dr. appt tomorrow to make sure she's not getting worse (since she's still not really getting better). I have to say Croup is WAY worse than RSV!!

On another note - our house is 3 weeks from being finished!! Chris went out today to see the progress since he had to stay home with Ryleigh again today.

They're getting ready to put up the brick fences. And dug the trenches and laid the electrical for the pool.
