We were at Hallmark and she found a princess birthday train. My grandma always got me a porcelain birthday bear set when I was little, so she wanted to continue the tradition with Ryleigh. She was very excited when Ryleigh said she wanted this set. So for her birthday my Grandma Beam got her a few of the train cars to catch her up.

Ryleigh's 5th Birthday

Ryleigh turned 5 in October. It was a school day, so she got to open a present in the morning. Can't believe how old she's looking. No longer a pre-schooler anymore, she's turning into a big girl.

It was a busy day because it was also the Safe Trick-or-Treat at Midwestern University. Ryleigh has gone to the Safe Trick-or-Treat every year so she still wanted to go, even though it was her birthday.

Ryleigh's first quarter Principal's List - October 2013

Disneyland - Fall 2013

Well in October, Ryleigh had Fall Break. We went to Disneyland for several days. It was Hayden's first time to Disneyland and he seemed to enjoy it.

This is what happens when you ask your 4 year old if she'd rather ride on the stationary or the swinging gondola and she flippantly answers "swinging!" We've ridden the Mickey Fun Wheel before, but always on the stationary gondolas. She knew they swung. She knew saw people in front of us get on them. And then we got inside and the first words out of her mouth "Where are the seat belts?!" These were taken on the first swing. Hayden was a little unsure...
