Ohio - Day 4: Children's Zoo, Fort Wayne, IN

We drove across the border to Indiana to go to the zoo. And MAN was it icky out that day. 90ish with 90% humidity. I discovered I'm DEFINITELY NOT a fan of humidity. I'll take my 110+ and dry heat over that stuff!!

BIG giraffe that people were feeding. Ryleigh got a turn to feed it too, but a little girl got in the way of my picture of her actually doing it.

Zebras and Ostriches.

Orangutan. She was just sitting there holding her blankie. Probably too hot to play around.

The other guy was curled up next to the cage door. Wonder if the metal was cooler?

There was a rainforest in a bubble. Let's just say it was REALLY moist in there.

An enormous alligator we were debating whether or not it was real. We cornered a zookeeper who told it was in fact real. It was HUGE!

There was a miniature farm, complete with farm animals (of course!).

We saw peacocks all over the place while walking around. They just wandered all over the place. When we were walking towards the entrance, we saw a peacock with it's feathers open. It was beautiful.

Ohio - Day 3: Splish! Splash!

Chris and I went running at the reservoir and when we came back, the kids were getting ready to go play in the water in the backyard.

There was an Elmo sprinkler.

I grabbed my camera to go take a grandparent and grandkid photo, and Kylee stopped me. She wanted me to take her picture first. She has such a cute personality.

Then she took my hand and we walked over to the swing where everyone else was.
Grandparents and their grandkids :)

Pruett Family. You know I often forget that my glasses are transitions. Obviously Chris forgets too. Makes for a dorky picture!

Then it was time for some lunch. Ryleigh enjoyed it!

Kylee falling out of the pool. Ryleigh thought this was hysterical. Just look at the smile on her face!

Kylee also thought it was pretty funny!

My pretty little girl. Love her!
From 2011 July

While they were playing, they heard a train. Here's the "oh no! What's that?!" look.
From 2011 July

Everytime the train blew it's horn, Ryleigh did this. It's her "scared me" body language.
From 2011 July

She's listening for it.
From 2011 July

They're running to go find it. Too bad its on the other side of the corn field.
From 2011 July

Ryleigh's taking charge of the situation, telling Kylee what the plan is.
From 2011 July

They go and tell Grandma about the train.
From 2011 July

I think Ryleigh and Kylee like each other :)
From 2011 July

Aww!! Friends and cousins!!

Ohio - Day 2: Church and Family

We woke up and went to church. They had The King's Brass Band playing for worship. Upbeat service.

After church, we went out to the backyard to play. Ryleigh and baby hanging out.

In the evening, Chris's brother, Tim, his wife, Krista, and their kids, Landon and Kylee came to stay the night. They live 3 hours away from Chris's parents. All the kids are born in October. Landon will be 5, Kylee will be 2, and Ryleigh will be 3.

Here's all the kids playing, feeling each other out.

See the death grip Ryleigh has on that baby. Kylee wanted to play with the baby so every time Ryleigh put it down, Kylee snatched it up.
At dinner time, Ryleigh decided everyone needed milk with their dinner. And it had to come from the baby's bottle and it had to go into the stacking cups. So here she is putting milk in everyone's cup.
From 2011 July

After dinner it was time to play tea with Grandma.
From 2011 July

Daddy even got to share some tea with Ryleigh before it was time for bed.
