Noises, Sitting up, and the Easter Bunny

Chris's mom came out to visit at the end of March. Ryleigh enjoyed the 1 on 1 undivided attention. Pictures to come (I need to raid Chris's camera to steal pictures).

Chris turned 32 on March 29!! He's getting old ;) He celebrated his birthday babysitting while I did a liver transplant. Gotta love being on call... Here are some pictures of Ryleigh before and after we went out to dinner with Linda for Chris's birthday on the 28th.

Then one day last week, Ryleigh discovered a new trick, the art of sticking her tongue out and spitting. It is rather adorable. Even melts your heart when she's on your last nerve. And we caught it on video:

On April 3, Ryleigh started sitting up for the first time on her own. She went from falling forward (or sideways) instantly to a no-hands-sit-up-by-herself-for-a-long-period-of-time overnight. Now she will just sit on the floor playing with all her toys. And totally forgotten that she can roll onto her tummy. Maybe she's filing that trick for later. Just wish she'd learn to roll from her tummy to her back so when she does fall over to her tummy she can figure out how to get "un-stuck".

My mom came in yesterday to babysit today. We had no sitter, and she had the day off. We took Ryleigh to get a picture with the Easter Bunny (since we forgot about Santa... oops). She didn't seem to mind him, but she wasn't totally thrilled either.

I also think Ryleigh's been teething because she's super fussy lately. No signs of a tooth yet. The last ones popped up so fast, I knew it was too much to hope they'd all come in that quick. She's also sleeping a ton. Wakes up at 7:30, plays for 2 hours, sleeps for 2 hours plus. Wakes up looking tired, eats, plays until about 3 or 4. Wakes up and plays until 7 when she's ready to get a bath and in bed by 8:30. And when she's up she just looks tired. Maybe it's a growth spurt, not sure. Other than that we're gearing up for Easter. My dad is driving out with my brothers tomorrow. We're going to my aunt's house for Easter with my mom's family. It'll be a madhouse with 60 some odd people there, an Easter pinata, Easter egg hunt, tons of food and gossip. It will be the first Easter without Kaydee who always did a lot in preparation for the day, so I know her presence will be missed greatly.

Happy Easter Everyone!
