September Update

In September, we went to our first Mountain Ridge High School football game. It just so happened to be Homecoming as well. Sadly, they lost. Ryleigh was super excited for football. I picked her up from school and she ran out of her classroom yelling "FOOTBALL time!!!" The whole way home she was telling me how she needed those things the cheerleaders hold in their hands and wave in the air (pom poms). She went on and on about what kind she needed. Then it dawned on me when we were piling back in the car to head to the game - I HAVE real ones, complete in the MRHS colors! I dug them out and Ryleigh LOVED them!! She loved waving them and cheering with them at the game.

The rest of September is quite the blur. Got into the swing of things at work. On the baby front - I entered the second trimester. And feel great! All traces of nausea are gone. Still have heart burn, but it's minimal. Still trying to exercise (walking and doing Pure Barre as much as possible). I started weekly ultrasounds to monitor cervical length. It's been neat peeking in on the little one every week - seeing it grow and move around with more coordinated movements. Then we had birthdays. Mine and my mom's birthday was on Monday, so we celebrated it on the Saturday before. Everyone came over to my parent's house for dinner and presents.
Ryleigh was involved in helping everyone open their presents.

Blowing out candles - we don't even try to figure out how many candles go on the cake anymore. We just put as many as we can find on and call it a day.

My grandma's birthday was on the following Thursday and Chris's was on Friday, so we went to the Grand Canyon for the following weekend for their birthday. That's a separate blog post.

Our neighborhood is almost done building. There's a few lots left. One day on the way home from work I saw this dog house on one of the lots. It was right in the  middle of one of the 2 or 3 available lots. Someone took a lot of time building it. It had shingles, carpet inside, toys inside. It was even painted in the Meritage Homes colors.
