Last year for Thanksgiving, my dad and I went out and ran 5 miles to start the day. This year, my dad found a Thanksgiving Classic 10 mile race. Unfortunately, I couldn't run this year, but Chris signed up to run with my dad. Ryleigh and I got up and picked up my mom and then we went out to scout a spot along the race route. This race went from the Peoria Sports Complex along the Arizona Canal Trail. So our first spot we found to find them was at 75th Ave just south of Bell Rd. This was about mile 2.5 for them.

And they're off again.
Once they were on their way, we got back in the car to drive to another spot to see them - we aimed for their turn around point around 59th Ave and Thunderbird at mile 5.5-ish.

We saw them at their turn around, and then we got in the car to head to the finish back at the Peoria Sports Complex. We went down Thunderbird and turned to go up 67th Ave. Then we saw a parking lot for Thunderbird Paseo Park and realized they would be by shortly. So we hopped out to try to see them (and hit the little girl's room - tea latte + pregnancy = full bladder!).
High fives and hugs from the support crew. It's funny people in front of them were recognizing us by this point. One person even said "isn't this this 3rd time we've seen you?" They recognized Ryleigh.
Then we hopped back in the car, and headed toward the finish line. Here's Ryleigh waiting for them at the finish line. That face completely explains her attitude and the mood she was in. Feisty little Diva!

Finished in under 2 hours!
Then it was off to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner.
