Just cause I was so impressed how quickly we went from dirt to foundation, I was curious how far they'd get in 1 day. (OK really, I needed to do some last minute Christmas shopping out by the house, so why not drive by?). This is where we saw it around 2pm on 12/22:

Looks like more was done right. To me it looked like they were getting prepared to do the 2nd story, but I didn't get my hopes up too high.
Chris drove out there to check out out the progress on 12/23 too, but around 5-6pm. Here's what he found:

They did almost the entire 2nd story!!!!
We went back out on Christmas Eve just to peak our curiosity.

We walked through it. We had asked the sales lady if our model had raised ceilings in the den due to our elevation. She told us we didn't... but we found evidence stating otherwise.

Those two are photos of the windows in the den. They both have header windows above the main window. The model doesn't have these. You can tell the ceilings are higher.
We can finally see how big the window is in the master bedroom.

We went out yesterday (12/29) to shop again by the house. So we drove by to check on the progress even though it was pouring rain. There is always some crew or another working away on the house, even right up until it's totally dark outside. So at least we knew in the rain they wouldn't be working on our house. Chris caught these photos on his camera phone (so excuse the blurriness).

And some clarification for us. We were told the stairway would be a pony wall, but when we saw the initial framing, the wall was really funky. Looked nothing like a pony wall to us. So we were glad to see this:

Today, 12/30 I drove by again and saw them working on installing duct work for heating and cooling (yes even in the on again off again rain). There is black water proofing paper up on the roof getting soaked. But it looks like we should have progress on getting ready to prep for the roof. We found a few other houses that are around our stage as well and it looks like if we don't get a roof next, we may be getting ready for windows soon.
Very exciting to think that in 60 days or less we'll have our new house!!!
