Merry Christmas!!
She ran downstairs and straight to the presents. She totally missed the dollhouse.
And then someone pointed it out and she ran to it.
And then she ran to see if Santa had eaten all the cookies and milk she left out.
Checking out the plate.
Opening her stocking. "Panties..."
Explaining to everyone that this is her good tasting toothpaste.
M&Ms.
A new toothbrush with Jesse on it. Yes, this lead to the Woody story again.
Trying to open the presents Santa left, but apparently he used some non-ripping paper and she was having a rough time.
My little helper. She cleaned up all the trash, no questions asked. Love how tidy she is :)
She told me on Christmas Eve when I put her to bed that she wanted Santa to bring her a new "snap on doll" and he came through. She got Juliet the ballerina and a princess one.
New Rapunzel PJs.
Chris's parents made the trip all the way from Ohio to spend Christmas with us. Chris's mom is an avid reader and always brings several books with her when she comes to visit. And Chris's dad has been wanting a tablet for a very long time. So we got his mom a Kindle and his dad a Kindle Fire. They were both so overwhelmed and touched by the gifts. So glad we could do that for them.
Chris's parents got Ryleigh puzzles. Just recently she's started to actually have the attention span to do them.
And a cute Minnie Mouse purse.
Chris's mom made Ryleigh a quilt for her baby dolls. Perfect for Bitty Baby.
And they got us a Willow Tree nativity set. Those are the stars that go in the background. It's beautiful!
Chris wanted (to get Ryleigh) Lincoln Logs.
See who's the first one to dig into them :) Ryleigh's opening another present as Chris opens the Lincoln logs.
After opening presents at our house, we went over to my parent's house for presents. We put Ryleigh straight to bed for her nap, since she was in dire need of one by this point. And then the "grown ups" got to open our presents.
This is my brother's present to me. Those are paper plates, and the rim of a Styrofoam bowl. I lost count of how many boxes and layers there were, but one involved parchment paper, at least 3 boxes, and at least 2 bows. Inside 2 pairs of compression sleeves. (Think the size of a pair of socks!) I'll be collecting boxes starting now for his gift next year! It's war buddy!
Cory's present to me was similar, complete with taunting notes. Don't think you'll be left out next year!!
And this was Chris's present from my brother. Dressed up like a fishing pole. At least his didn't have that many layers.
Can't be Christmas without my dad forgetting what his recipient descriptions mean.
The boys got remote control helicopters!
And the both got Kindle Fires.
And then Ryleigh got up to join the party. She got a Belle doll and accessory set.
And all the princess figurines. She's been eyeing that set for months in the Disney store.
By now she's a pro at showing off clothes.
My little diva!
Chris got a helicopter too!!
And my dad got a remote control helicopter on a semi!!
And Ryleigh got a pink balance bike and helmet from my parents!! Cory kept asking her if every present was a bike, and she kept giving him the stink eye NO! When she opened this, and he asked her, her eyes got wide and she was like "YES!" She still needs to figure it out.
The boys enjoying thier new Fire's and the cases we got them.
My dad gets the brightest colored running clothes. He wears that green vest on all his cold runs. His Camelbak matches the vest. And for Christmas he got that bright hat. Pretty sure no cars are going to hit him. We made him put on the ensemble and he's pretending to direct traffic.
After presents we went back to our house for dinner. Chris's parents and my parents slaved all afternoon to make a wonderful dinner. It was all so yummy! Thank you mom, dad, Linda, and Rusty!
After dinner, the boys had fun playing with all Ryleigh's new toys. I believe this is Cory's block tower made from the blocks he got her. And me cleaning up in the background.
Topher put the Lincoln Logs to use. That structure looks similar to all those old waffle block structures.
Cory's masterpiece.
Wonderful Christmas with the families!
