We met with the contractor on December 8. That day they started laying out the house on the lot. By December 9, they had dug all the trenches and had done most of the plumbing, etc.
View from the back corner of the lot.
So that's how much room we have to the fence.
Chris went out on Friday, December 17 and they had all the cables layed for the post tension system for the foundation. Unfortunately he didn't have a camera when he went out there and didn't get a picture.
We were told they were scheduled to pour the foundation on December 21 (yesterday), but much to our surprise, we went to look on Monday night and it was already poured. And a guy was out walking around on it marking on it, getting it ready to frame!!
These are the post tension cables. 7 days after they pour the foundation, they tighten these cables to a certain PSI. It basically makes the foundation more stable and prevents cracks in the foundation.
Today (12/22) I had to take Ryleigh to the doctor right by the house. I had a feeling they would start framing this week, so I wanted to swing by and take a look. Sure enough - we have a first floor!!!
