Christmas Morning - Santa came!!
Ryleigh's presents - Rainbow loom, a princess calendar, a box with goodies in it to go with the Rainbow Loom
Hayden's Present - a new walker/ bike - Ybike Pewi
Ready for some kids
Look at all those presents!
Santa must have been hungry - just a few crumbs left.
But he did have time to write a note while he ate the goodies.
Merry First Christmas Little Man!! He was up early, so we had to wait for sister to wake up!
Such a cute lil guy!
Finally!! Sister woke up!!
She got her kit!!
And Hayden is trying to figure out what's up with this new walker. It's a bit too smooth and fast for him still. But he'll soon grow into it.
She's definitely got the sassy pose down!
Opening stockings - toothbrush for all those new toofers!
He even knows it goes in his mouth - even if it's the wrong end!
More toys to chew on!
Hey buddy! You just got a new push walker... why are you pushing around the super coupe??!
My parents came over to open presents with us this year. Ryleigh got the Sophia the First castle from them.
I'll admit - in the months leading up to Christmas, I had combed the toy aisles and toy stores several times just to get ideas for both kids. I saw this and frankly scoffed at it thinking "this is stupid! They just sit in the chair." And then we went to Ohio and Chris's mom borrowed it from a friend. Hayden LOVED it!!! The entire time we were there, he played with it. So we knew we had to get him one. And then it was sold out - everywhere. Apparently it was a hot item this year for toddlers. I was able to track one down.
See he's itching to play with it!
And immediately made himself at home. (Yes we wrapped his presents in sheets. It was easier to assemble them all on Christmas Eve, throw batteries in them, etc and wrap them in sheets.)
Ryleigh got new dance clothes. I thought they were super cute. Apparently Ryleigh didn't feel the same way.
And again - obviously THRILLED about a hot pink skirt and black dance top.
Hayden got more noisy toys
Ariel's castle to go with Cinderella's castle. I tried explaining to her that she was outgrowing little people and that the age range was up to 5 years old and she's pushing the limit. She didn't care - she wanted this one!
Noisy keys - YES!
Cory's present - I'm sad I didn't get pictures of this entire process. My brothers have a tendency to wrap my presents in hard to open style. So - I started with a little card that had the location of the present on it. Wrapped it several times in multiple different mediums - paper, plastic wrap, cellophane, more paper, foil, complete with ribbons... then it moved into boxes which were wrapped and taped... And finally it ended up in this big box. So this was the start...
Which was a card detailing that he needed to go look in the office. It was a 20/ 30/ 50... I forget how many pound kettleball.
Hayden was up next - he opened another sheet to find an activity table.
Ryleigh and Hayden both opened these at the same time. Chris didn't know what they were, but I think they were some of their favorite presents. I got both of them
Aden and Anais Dream Blankets. Both my kids love their blankets. Ryleigh has had the same Gerber Organic receiving blanket since she was born. In fact I had to find another one on Ebay because they were discontinued soon after she took it as her security item - and no, just a normal gerber waffle receiving blanket was not the same. So she was in need of a new blanket. Hayden has always had
Aden and Anais Washcloths for his lovies and we used the thin muslin
A&A swaddle blankets to cover the carseat/ throw in the diaper bag for a blanket whenever it was needed. So Hayden already loves the muslin fabric.
Well Ryleigh opened hers and immediately started cuddling with it.
We opened Hayden's and he had the same response.
He went to go try to check out Ryleigh's.
We even tried opening more presents, but Hayden was more interested in cuddling his blanket. Obviously it was almost nap time.
Ryleigh was excited to get a movie
So close to walking little dude!
Never seen a little girl so passionate about an electric toothbrush
We put down Hayden for a nap half way through presents. We finished up Ryleigh's presents, then put her down for a nap. Then we were off for round two at Grandma and Grandpa's house with Chris and Kristin.
